Don Larson is in his second career as a Physician Assistant, practicing primary care at CDK Global and emergency medicine at Advocate/NorthShore University HealthSystem. He is the former President and owner of Precision Litho, Inc., a company specializing in high resolution imaging, image manipulation, color separations and proofing for the graphic arts industry.

Don earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from William Jennings Bryan College and was listed among “Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities.”  He did post-baccalaureate studies at Harper College and was Phi Theta Kappa there while in preparation for medical school.  He received his Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Practice from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.

Don has been serving on the National Board of Directors for LYDIA Home Association for many years. In 2014, he co-founded Plates of Hope® out of his great desire to further support LYDIA Home and Safe Families for Children (SFFC).  He has been particularly motivated in this endeavor because of the placement by SFFC of a special little girl into a family member’s home. This child came with many great emotional and physical needs, but has flourished in the loving environment of family and supportive friends.

He is married and has two adult children, who are all actively involved in helping to achieve the mission of Plates of Hope.®
